MSI Outreach: High School

3D visualization of protein
Every second, trillions of proteins and molecules interact throughout the cells of our body – but how many trillions? Can we create models that predict these protein-protein interactions on a large scale? The talented researchers at the Molecular Sciences Institute tackle these questions on a daily basis using the tools of modern genomics and genetic sciences. In the process, we pave the future for the emerging field of predictive biology.

The Molecular Sciences Institute encourages students to pursue their interests in these exciting fields. To begin, we have compiled a list of useful genomics and genetics resources geared towards high school students. Please visit our summer opportunities page to view the internships we are currently offering.

The molecular and genetic sciences are rapidly improving our lives and it is imperative that we continue to foster interest in these fields. We at MSI are committed to training the next generation of scientists that will continue in these traditions.
