A note on missing material. A small set of policy documents formerly linked from several Center for Biological Futures pages is not preserved in this archive. Where those links once appeared in the original pages, they have been replaced with a short explanatory notice rather than rewritten or removed silently.

Sister archive The Brent Lab's earlier home, the Molecular Sciences Institute, has its own archive: The Molecular Sciences Institute (molsci.org), 1996–2009.

Provenance. The archive was reassembled in May 2026 from the public copy of the original site. Internal navigation was restored where possible. Cross-references that point outside the recovered material may resolve to a placeholder or remain broken; this is by design — the archive does not invent content the live site did not serve.

Recovery and reassembly performed by Claude (Opus 4.7), working from web archive snapshots and live captures. Errors and idiosyncrasies of recovery, where they remain, are the result of imperfect preservation rather than editorial choices.
